The diagonals of the surf from an incoming tide complement an amazing sunset on the Olympic Coast.
Endless Beauty

Rainforest Reflection
Majestic Elowah falls reflected in a small pool of water in early spring.
Fractured
A gem of the Olympic Peninsula, Rialto beach has many such sea stacks rising from its depths. One particularly photogenic spire collapsed within the last year. The remnants from its collapse are now being interred by the sea. This particular evening, an incoming tide produced beautiful cascades across its fractured remains.
Resurgence
A natural S-curve created by ice and blowing snow lead to a beautiful sunstar and colorful sky behind Shark’s Tooth, reflected in a frozen lake beneath.
While the Earth Sleeps
An unforgettable moment as the aurora borealis lit the night sky over this frozen lake in the early morning hours in Canada's far north.

Subzero
These leading lines created by freezing conditions and snowdrift just under the surface of a frozen lakeshore provide the perfect foreground to an explosive display of aurora in the sky. With wind chill, the temperature was near -15F at night.

Lost Souls
A unique landscape resulting from recent weather patterns, with Joshua trees rising from the desert sand dunes as the moon sets in the early evening.
Nightfall
A view through a small tufa cave at the unique formations and mountain range in the distance.
Hallowed Ground
This landscape looks more like a moonscape... an otherworldly view of sandstone formations and runoffs photographed in the early morning light.
Reason for Rainbows
A beautiful double rainbow forms in the valley of the Columbia Hills on the edge of a storm front, framed by a bloom of wildflowers.
Fierce
I’ve visited Panther Creek Falls many times over the years, but never took a photo I was happy with. This particular morning I was all alone, in awe watching the torrential flow from waterfalls surrounding me in all directions, as the above average snowpack melts in the first days of spring. I returned here a couple of days later to find the flow of the falls less than half what it was this one amazing morning.
